This long standing ruling has had everyone devastated due to the absorbent costs involved in replacing their existing asbestos roofs. Anti Rain Concepts has over the past few years been hard at work, finding ways to cost effectively retain the asbestos roofs while making it safe and free from dispersing harmful fibres into the air causing crucial health issues.

Anti Rain Concepts makes use of Bio Chemists to design and manufacture all of our products across the board. Our three pack system to combat the asbestos situation has already been approved by assessors and is being used vastly in the western cape with other areas in the country already enquiring and soon to follow.
ARC Bio algaecide destroys all types of algae, lichen and moss formed on various substrates. Whilst destroying the algae our Bio algaecide cleans, destroys algae and sanitizes the surface of the asbestos without any rubbing, scrubbing or high pressure cleaning. ARC Bio algaecide is merely applied by a standard home spray bottle or airless sprayer. ARC Bio Algaecide immediately gets to work and continues to consistently kill the algae while continuously cleaning the surface. Once the surface is free of algae and is clean, you are ready for the next step.
ARC Bio Asbestos Encapsulator is a high quality, acrylic water-based, low-viscosity and penetrating coating with excellent surface coverage. The product is suitable for a variety of surfaces (including damp surfaces) and allows super quick overcoat time. This product physically reacts with substrates to ensure better adhesion to the surface. The product has excellent flexibility and impact resistant properties. It is a milky coating, with a very low sheen finish. The product is a zero VOC, environmentally friendly coating and does not emit fumes and odours during and after application.
The ARC bio roof sealer is then applied over the already encapsulated asbestos forming a modified flexible elastomeric emulsion coating over the treated asbestos. This covering is a long lasting protective layer, keeping the asbestos roof in a good condition and easily maintained for many years to come.
ARC Bio algaecide naturally kills and destroys algae moss mold and Lichen at the roots, rendering them lifeless and results in a clean roof. Unlike other products, it will not discolour surfaces already painted with acrylic or mineral products. The result of ARC Bio Algaecide are long lasting, and works on all types of substrates and surfaces such as, bricks, concrete, tiles, wood, fabric and plastic. These would include artifacts including historical-artistic and /or monumental interest attacked by algae, moss or lichen.

ARC Bio Algaecide is a selective algaecide based on a Quaternary Ammonium compound.
USES.
APPLICATION.
Spray on by means of a back pack spray system, or a normal home spray bottle system. Airless sprayer or arial sprayer also ideal for application. It may take several days to completely destroy algae, moss or lichen and a second application can be administered if desired, to quicken the process. The product is long lasting and will continue to kill and destroy algae for months after application.
SPREAD RATE.
Approximately eight square meters per liter depending on porosity of the substrate.

ARC Bio Asbestos Encapsulator is suitable for application over old and new, slates, bricks, plaster, asbestos, roof tiles, hard boards, chip boards, galvanized steel and pre-painted prepared areas and aluminium.
ARC Bio roof seal is modified flexible acrylic emulsion with a low sheen for the water proofing of a variety of roofs, parapets and gutters.

INTENDED USES
ARC Bio Roof Sealer is a flexible waterproofing product of exceptional quality and durability. It is a general purpose water proofer and can be used in conjunction with polyester membranes for flashing, parapets and flat roofs with an acceptable run off.

4 to 6 square meters depending on porosity.
The Asbestos Abatement Regulation, 2020, has 27 sub-regulations of which both employers and property owners must comply with.
Property owners should have an Asbestos inventory (as prescribed in Reg 4(7) (a, b, d, e) in place and be aware of their responsibility in Reg 11 as well as Reg 20 – Reg 24.
Employers should have and Asbestos Inventory (Reg 4), Risk Assessment (Reg 5), an Asbestos Management Plan (Reg 6) in place, as well as the appropriate procedures and signs related to all other sub-regulations.
